What This Means for Members
This change affects individuals and companies whose Zion HealthShare enrollment, billing or membership is currently managed through Planstin. If your membership is already enrolled and billed directly through Zion HealthShare, no action is required.
Planstin has announced that beginning September 1, 2026, a $30 monthly Program Support Fee will apply to each Zion HealthShare membership that remains on its platform. This fee is separate from the monthly contribution associated with Zion HealthShare membership.
The Program Support Fee is established and billed by Planstin. It is not a fee charged by Zion HealthShare.
If you or your company chooses to transition enrollment and billing directly to Zion HealthShare, you do not need to wait until your renewal date. Moving directly to Zion HealthShare will not create a gap or lapse in your membership, restart your membership, or interrupt the processing of sharing requests. If you have already canceled, or choose to cancel, your Planstin-administered enrollment, Zion HealthShare can reinstate your membership without restarting any applicable waiting periods, as long as you enroll directly with Zion HealthShare within 30 days of cancellation.
Information for Individual and Family Memberships
Individual and Family Households, whose Zion HealthShare memberships are currently administered through Planstin, may choose to continue through Planstin or contact Zion HealthShare about transitioning their enrollment and billing directly through us.
If your Zion HealthShare membership is through Planstin Individual and you do not want to pay the new $30 monthly fee, you can enroll with us directly. Please call us at 888-920-9466 or email us at member@zionhealthshare.org and we can quickly assist you in making this transition.
If you wish to keep your membership through Planstin, nothing is required from you at this time and the new $30 monthly fee will automatically be added to your monthly billing.
Information for Company and Team Memberships
Companies whose Zion HealthShare memberships are currently administered through Planstin may continue through Planstin or contact Zion HealthShare about transitioning their enrollment and billing directly to us.
Beginning September 1, 2026, Planstin will continue providing certain administrative and member-support services for Zion HealthShare memberships that remain on Planstin’s platform. A $30 monthly Program Support Fee will apply to each continuing Zion HealthShare membership. This fee is separate from the monthly amount associated with the Zion HealthShare membership.

Information for Our Partners

Partners may now refer both company groups and individual clients directly to Zion HealthShare for enrollment and billing. Clients enrolled directly through Zion HealthShare will not be charged Planstin’s Program Support Fee.

Is my Zion HealthShare membership ending?
No. The end of the Business Services Agreement does not automatically end your Zion HealthShare membership. Members whose enrollment and billing are currently administered through Planstin may continue through Planstin or contact Zion HealthShare about transitioning directly to our organization.
Do I have to pay the $30 monthly Planstin Administration Program Support Fee?

What is the Business Services Agreement (BSA) between Zion HealthShare and Planstin Administration?
The BSA provided administrative and operational support to Zion HealthShare as our organization became established and grew. Through the agreement, Planstin has provided services related to administration, enrollment, billing, and support of some Zion HealthShare memberships.
Why is this change being made now?
Zion HealthShare is a large and growing community of over 80,000 members. As our community has continued to grow, our operational needs have evolved. This transition reflects the next stage of that growth and our work to bring key administrative and operational functions more direction within Zion HealthShare.
Who is Planstin Administration, Inc. and how are they related to Zion HealthShare?
Planstin is a Third-Party Administrator (TPA) that offers self-funded health benefit packages and alternative medical coverage models for small-to-medium-sized businesses and individuals.
For several years, Planstin has provided administrative and operational support to Zion HealthShare through a formal Business Services Agreement. This has included the enrollment, billing, and administration of some Zion HealthShare memberships.
If I am a member of Zion HealthShare, do I need to change or update anything?
Most Zion HealthShare memberships are enrolled and billed directly through Zion HealthShare and will not be affected by this change. If your membership is directly administered by Zion HealthShare, you do not need to take any action.
If your membership with Zion HealthShare is administered by Planstin, you will be billed an additional $30 monthly Program Support Fee if you continue with Planstin. If you change or update your membership to be directly with Zion HealthShare, you will not be billed this new monthly fee. Call us at 888-920-9466 and we can quickly assist you with this transition.
My employer offers Zion HealthShare membership to me through Planstin, are my benefits affected?
Your Zion HealthShare membership will remain active. Beginning September 1, 2026, Planstin has stated that a $30 monthly Program Support Fee will apply to each Zion HealthShare membership that remains on its platform.
Depending on your company’s benefit and payroll arrangements, your employer may pay the fee, share the cost with employees, or pass all or part of the fee to enrolled employees. Your company may also choose to enroll directly with Zion HealthShare, in which case Planstin’s Program Support Fee would not apply.
Please contact the person who manages benefits for your company for information about how your employer plans to proceed. You do not need to take individual action unless instructed by your employer.
I refer my clients to Zion HealthShare through Planstin, what changes or updates do I need to make?
